Products and Services

K Lab provides customers with high quality, quick turn-around optical coatings on discrete laser diodes, laser bars and on fiber tips as well as traditional optical coatings on glass and semiconductor substrates.  We supply competitively priced, high performance, high efficiency lensed fibers and a variety of InGaAs detector products. As a value added service to our customers we also provide complete thin film characterization when required.

Optical Coating Service

We provide hard oxide, single layer AR, multilayer V and W AR and multilayer mirror coatings for individual lasers and laser bars.  We also provide traditional and custom designed optical coatings for glass, optical fiber tip, and semiconductor substrates.

Optical Thin Film Characterization

K Lab’s optical thin film characterization services include reflectance and transmission measurements, thin film thickness determination and dispersive index measurements from 175nm to 3200nm. In addition to coatings, we work with customers specifications to provide complete thin film design solutions.

Lensed single mode fiber and fiber assembly

We are a supplier of coated and uncoated lensed fibers for high power laser modules and super-luminescent diode modules that simplify package design and lower assembly cost.  Single mode and multi-mode optical fibers with up to 80% coupling efficiency can be provided.  Complete fiber assemblies with AR coatings and integrated ferrules can be supplied in production quantities.  Our staff continuously evaluates competitors’ offerings to ensure that K Lab provides attractively priced products with equivalent or higher performance.

InGaAs PIN Photodiode Chip and Assembly

K Lab offers large area, high speed, InGaAs PIN photodiode chips. To simplify assembly, prepackaged chips are available in Chip-on-carrier (COC), TO can and fiber-coupled modules. Quotes on custom modules are provided on request.
